Catholics have more influence than me

Back on August 12, I contacted St Ambrose Primary School and asked them to "adopt" this substation out the front.  They contacted Energy Australia, and lo and behold, when I went past again today, it was as clean as driven snow.

From Energy Austra...

Not a bad result if you ask me.  One substation adopted, only about 60 more to go.  It's good to see that St Ambrose have decided to make this their problem.  It shouldn't have to be that way, but at least they now know that if they don't do something about it, nobody will.  It is no longer somebody else's problem.

St Ambrose Primary - followup

I got an email from St Ambrose Primary School this morning:

thanks for your concern about graffit around our school.  I have just contacted Energy Australia in regards to painting the substation.  I have given them all our details and received a reference number.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us again on the off chance that you see graffiti before we do, and thanks for all of your hard work.

OFFICE SUPPORT

ST AMBROSE PRIMARY SCHOOL

Hey, it's my pleasure.  I don't see this as hard work - taking a few photos, sending an email every few days, making the odd phone call - it's doesn't take that much time or require much effort.  Anyone can do it.

I'm just glad that the school has taken up the baton with regard to the substation outside their premises.  Now I just have to see if I can convince Concord High to do the same.....

Substation outside St Ambrose School

I went past St Ambrose Primary School in Concord back on 19 July and the Energy Australia substation out the front looked like this.

I emailed the school via their "info" email address that day and asked them to "adopt" the substation and report it to Energy Australia in order to have it cleaned up.

I went past today, and it looked like this:

Either no one at the school is reading their email, or they haven't bothered to do anything about it, or they are waiting for Energy Australia to send a crew around to paint it.

I am going to assume that no one is looking at that email inbox, as I never got a response.  I didn't get a response from Concord High School either.

I have gone back to writing old fashioned letters to the Principals of Concord and St Ambrose then.  If I ran this school, there is no way I would stand for this type of rubbish on my doorstep.
