I first had a good look at this derelict building back in early August. At some point in the distant past, the front doors had been boarded up, but then someone came along and ripped the doors off, allowing all manner of vandals to get in and sack the place.
I went past two weeks ago and noticed a crew working on the site. I couldn't work out what they were doing, but the answer became clear today - they have put a proper fence around the block. It won't keep a determined vandal out, but it should deter the casual wrecker.
