Murals along the Hawthorne Canal

There is a walking track which runs along the side of the Hawthorne Canal in Haberfield.  At one point, there is a tunnel that cuts under the railway embankment, and it is about the only bit of infrastructure along the entire track that is graffiti free.

A mural like this has been painted at both ends of the tunnel.  The tunnel itself is largely graffiti free - it has one or two tags, but nothing like other railway underpasses that I have seen.

The canal itself, and the fences of  the houses backing onto the canal, are covered in several acres of spray paint.  This tunnel is an oasis in a sea of grot.
